Pastors
The pastors of Northwoods want to offer support and care in time of joy and crisis. They are available if you simply want to talk with a pastor, if you are in the hospital, of if you want a visit in your home. There is a pastor on call when the office is closed. That number is provided on the voice mail at the church 281-444-8861.

Prayer Chain
Committed Northwoods’ members, utilizing phone and email, respond to prayer requests with daily prayers for church members, their families, and friends.
Elder Hospital Visitation
Presbyterian elders who attend Northwoods join and support Northwoods ministers in visiting those who are hospitalized.
Lay Pastors
Trained lay pastors provide a ministry of listening and support for Northwoods members during times of joy, crisis and illness. This is a one-on-one relationship that is to provide support for the individual and connection with the church.
Second Family Care Teams
A group of four to six people are partnered with an individual or family to be a “second family” in times of need. The team can help by visiting, helping with transportation, running errands, doing light housework, and other needs as they arise.
Support Groups
Various support groups are offered throughout the year to provide care and connection. Please check the website to see what is being offered at this particular time.
CanCare
Our congregation is a supporter of the community group CanCare which offers one-on-one, long term emotional support to cancer patients and family members. To find out more about receiving support of being a volunteer, visit www.cancare.org.

Emergency Food
In times of illness or crisis, arrangements are made for the preparation and delivery of food to members.
Funeral Hospitality
Hospitality is provided to bereaved families on the day of their loved one’s funeral or memorial service. Food may be taken to the family home on the evening before the service. A reception may be held in the Narthex following the service.
