Northwoods Presbyterian Church

Our goal is clear: to develop and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ. With profound gratitude and joy, we respond with our hearts, our souls, our strength, and our minds in service to God's world. Our primary responsibility is to enable people of all ages to become disciples through faithful Bible study, freedom to think and to respond with openness, and helping one another to grow in faith. We hold a particular passion for ministry to and with children and youth. We depend on each other in times of crisis, celebrate with each other in times of joy, and pray constantly for the well-being of one another.

Christ calls us to reach out to the entire world and to extend to each person the Good News of God's saving grace. We respond by inviting others to join with us in worship and service as part of this faith community.

We are Christ's disciples, Celebrating God's grace, Creating community, Making a difference

If you enjoy worshipping in a more intimate but traditional setting, join us for our 8:15 Chapel service. You will receive a real blessing sharing with this church family group. We sing hymns accompanied by piano and hear special music every week. Our lay readers and elders participate in leading the various aspects of our service. You will be greeted by warm, friendly smiles and a feeling of belonging.

We have a wonderful music program. The choir, under excellent leadership, offers a wide range of musical styles. The congregation shares hymns accompanied by organ and enjoys guest musicians and artists. Unlike the small intimate setting for the Chapel service, this service has the "Big Church" feel. But just as with all our services, you will be greeted by warm, friendly smiles by our ushers and greeters as well as members of our congregation.

Our 11:00 a.m. service is called "The Journey". The Journey service offers a contemporary worship service in an intimate setting. Enjoy the most recent worship music with a powerful message from Pastor Paul.

The Journey service is located in the fellowship hall.

This service is offered quarterly under the leadership of the Rev. Ann Marie Quigley-Swanson along with musicians, Kinley Lange and Max Dyer. It is a contemplative service of prayer and meditation, focusing on the healing of mind and body. The service will includes scripture, anointing, meditation, music and silence to invite us to find the peace of Christ within us, accept the support of family and friends, and find the strength to support those in need.

Northwoods servants believe in putting their faith into action. We offer many opportunities to serve others beyond our church walls, whether by joining one of our half-day mission teams, serving in an on-going outreach, or participating on one of our mission trips.

Be a part of God’s work in the world!

As you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me.

Childcare/Nursery Care

Northwoods Childcare provides a safe and loving place for
your children to be loved, rocked, played with and cared for
while their parents attend worship services. Parents receive pagers
that vibrate if they needed in the childcare room or if the childcare worker should have any questions. In addition to providing quality care, our teachers are committed to teaching young children about God’s love through
age-appropriate activities and lessons.
